He Got the JOB!!!

Finally, after literally 2 MONTHS of interviews and waiting, Kevin got a job. A great job.

It all started in late December. A recruiter found him on LinkedIn. She conducted a phone interview and he passed with flying colors. She wanted Kevin to go in for a personal interview. He did so and did great. So great, in fact, that the recruited called and wanted to see if Kevin was interested in a contract offer (as opposed to starting off permanently). He said yes. And we started to celebrate. A few days later, her assistant called Kev to set up an additional interview - with one of the national reps. Completely stunned and baffled, he said yes. We both thought he had the job. What the recruiter failed to mention in her phone call about the contract was that it wasn't an official offer, but more of a question are you interested in a contract job....if we decide to hire you. Yep. He didn't have the job and there were still other applicants!! Truly disheartening, especially because we told everyone that he had it. So, he went in for the interview that lasted an entire 20 minutes. Kevin wasn't hopeful.

I believe we were both preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best. We fasted before his interview(s) and I felt really calm and at peace about the whole situation. So, when he "got" the job, I was happy. It felt right. Even when the 3rd interview curve ball was thrown, I was anxious, but knew that whatever happened was right.

And to our joy- he got the job! He started 2/21/11 and has been on cloud 9 ever since. We have been praying a long time that he would get a good job that would be right for him and he finally got it. We are both grateful for this blessing and the growth we both received these past two years. We still have yet to have prayer when we haven't thanked Heavenly Father for this new job. Truly, we are blessed and thank you to all of you for your prayers and fasting for our family!
